Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her show business career from a young age. She played lead roles in television dramas as early as 16 years old. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning diva. Through the years, Alexandra was involved in numerous important international and national productions. The British biographical movie Control, the Greek dramatic The Dust of Time, and French history miniseries Napoleon include among these. Additionally, she was one of the members of both Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
